Tea Menu

At the Courtyard Gardens and Tea Rooms we offer the discerning tea drinker what is probably the widest range of teas, tisanes and flavoured infusions in Poole. Wherever possible we source our tea locally, ethically and organically. We have 4 main suppliers, 3 of which are based in Dorset (Blendings, Clipper and Wan Ling), and each know exactly where and how their teas are grown and who by. Our 4th supplier is the Tregothnan estate in Cornwall, where they actually grow the tea on their own estate (The only one in Western Europe). We are able to provide some teas in either bag or loose leaf format. The options are detailed in the menu section. We also have a wide variety of more exotic teas which have been sourced worldwide, but particularly in the Far East, and we have a wide range of Chinese and Japanese tea along with a selection of others from Malaya, Indonesia and Singapore.

To complete your tea experience we also have various milk, sugar and sweetner options.

We are able to serve your tea in a variety of ways, as you wish. Your tea will always be served in a pot with a choice of cup or mug. If you wish to have it served directly in a mug, let us know.

A Japanese cast iron teapot

Our teapots come in all manner of sizes, shapes and materials, including Pottery, Porcelain, China, Glass, Stainless steel, Cast Iron and Silver.

All tea derived drink prices are based on the number of bags or quantity of loose tea used. You may have as much hot water and milk as you wish just ask at any time. Teas will normally be served bag in at the table. If you wish to have your water and tea presented separately, please let us know when you place your order. Loose leaf teas will always be in the pot with water when served, however we can also serve loose tea in an infuser directly in a cup or mug if preferred.
