The Tea rooms are designed to provide an atmosphere of calm, set in our unique and authentic medievel setting. We pay a lot of attention to detail and are constantly searching for new and interesting items to interest our guests, various artefacts and items of interest can be found in the premises and are regularly changed, as are many of the feature plants. In the annexe (Known as the Snug), various themes are present and usually include South African or Welsh items, or Sailing, Skiing or walking themes. We also usually display a lavishly illustrated copy of the famous Book of Plants by Basilius Besler, first published in 1613 (Opened at a different page every day .... when we remember !). In the winter it is heated and candlelight to add to the ambience. |

Our speciality is the serving of a wide range of premium quality Teas (Over 70) and Home made scones and cakes. We have a particularly wide range of Tea pots (A selection of which are also on sale) and complementary cups and saucers or mugs. These range from the smallest 1 cup pots through to pots serving 6 or 8, and from standard pottery through the usual stainless steel and Porcelain to Bone china, Cast iron and Solid silver. If you have any preference, or a favourite pot just let us know when ordering and we`ll try our best to accommodate. |

All of our Teas, Coffees and other products are sourced locally wherever possible and we run a wide range of certified organic produce. The 'open' style kitchen has recently been entirely rebuilt from scratch to our specific and exacting specifications. Wherever possible and practical food is prepared to order on the premises. Go to the menu page to see the details (Or specials board at the premises). Most food items are prepared individually, to order, thus do not expect 'fast food' efficiency, but do rest assured that your food will be prepared as quickly and carefully as possible by hand and served in a pleasant and courteous manner. If you are however pushed for time, please let us know when you arrive and we will do our utmost to complete your order as quickly as possible. |
